What is passive house?
"Passive house" is also called "passive ultra-low energy building".
The word comes from German PASSIVHAUS. Since the first passive house was built in Darmstadt, Germany in 1991, more than 20 years’ practice has fully verified its high comfort and ultra-low energy consumption. The so-called "passive house" refers to the optimization of building envelope structure by adopting advanced energy-saving design concept and construction technology, which can greatly improve the thermal insulation, heat insulation and airtight performance of the building, and recycling heat (cold) in the indoor exhuast air by the energy recovery ventilation system, thereby significantly reducing the heating and cooling needs of the building. Besides, passive buildings also use natural ventilation, natural lighting, solar radiation and indoor non-heating heat sources to effectively achieve comfortable temperature, humidity, and daylight environments while minimizing or eliminating reliance on active mechanical heating or cooling systems.

Passive house adopts high-performance external insulation, no thermal bridge design, good air-tight peripheral structure, etc. The application of technology can save 90% of the heating energy compared with conventional buildings under the same comfort level.
2. High efficiency energy recovery ventilator system
High efficiency energy recovery ventilator system is adopted, which is the core component of the passive house air treatment system and undertakes the indoor heating and cooling load.

① The core flow channel is turbulent design, the air flow in the flow channel will be disturbed and takes away the fine dust in the air. And the surface of the nano film is very smooth, so there will be no thermal resistance due to dust accumulation. Besides, the membrane will vibrates due to the disturbance of air flow, which will improve the heat recovery efficiency significantly.
② Using high-tech nano paper (ER special paper), it is made of ABS and nano film injection molding. The thickness of the nano film is 25um, which is anti-corrosion, flame-retardant, moisture-resistant, high-temperature resistant, and pressure-resistant.
③ The nano membrane has small pores, the energy recovery efficiency is as high as 70%, and the air leakage rate is less than 10%.
④ Patented hexagonal design, double counter air flow, high energy recovery efficiency.
⑤ Air resistance of the core is small, air cross sectional is large, it is not easy to be blocked, and the service life is as long as more than 10 years.
⑥ Glue-free process, mortise and tenon design, uniform spacing, modular maintenance, easy maintenance.
3. High energy recovery efficiency
When replacing the air, keep the temperature and humidity of the indoor air and transfer it to the new introduced air, energy recovery efficiency is ≥75%. Maintain the indoor temperature and humidity within a certain range, and reduce the energy consumption of the air conditioner.
Environmentally friendly EPP\PE\PVC pipes are used, which are light, easy to install and sound insulated.
The fresh air unit, the fresh air inlets and outlets are equipped with noise reduction devices. Fan and pipe are connected by soft pipe to ensure the indoor silence.
4. Constant temperature and humidity
Using technologies such as heat-insulating enclosure structure and fresh air ventilation system with high-efficiency heat recovery, the temperature can be controlled at an appropriate temperature without air conditioning and heating equipments, creating a healthy and comfortable environment for the human body.
According to indoor air standards in China, the indoor humidity in winter and summer should be 30%-80%. Through the energy recovery ventilator, the indoor humidity can be controlled at an appropriate humidity, which can effectively prevent respiratory diseases caused by dryness and indoor mold growth.
5. Constant oxygen and haze removal
The ERV system is equipped with G4+H11 filter. The purification efficiency is >95%, which can effectively filter dust, pollen and PM2.5 in the air. Adjustable air volume: motor can speed up by adjusting the dial switch or potentiometer on the host computer board to achieve the required air volume and air pressure.
